I'm going to jump in with a few thoughts today!
ONE
Wednesday night was our first dry night! Okay, let me back up: we are in our first month of serious potty training with my oldest, and he woke us up a few times to go potty, but diaper was dry in the morning. I am going to get him one of those spinning candy dispenser things he is always playing with at the check out. Or a rocket ship, per his request.
TWO
85 days away from my due date, and I am experiencing the worst baby fever ever. I do not like holding babies that are not mine, but I want to grab every little one I see. Then I flip out because it is less than three months away!
THREE
I am totally going to bring it up again because I seriously am so excited about being nominated for a Sheenazing Award. Bonnie over at A Knotted Life put some work into setting up the awards and being nominated was a total surprise: I went to vote for some of my favorites and saw my project was listed! I hope I was not one of the ones reported as heretical, because I love Catholicism. I was not a winner, but there were some really great blogs listed, so go check them out!
FOUR
I am getting more comfortable with my prayer life again. It is really difficult in the day to day swing to lose track of time and ignore the praying and spiritual growth I need as a wife/mother/daughter/sister/friend/human. In the spirit of my renewed love of the rosary, I dug out the beautiful rosary bracelet my wonderful friend bought me for my birthday years ago. The crucifix and the marion medal fell off and I never put it back on and stopped wearing it. Time to get it repaired!
FIVE
On the subject of repairs and gifts, my husband gave me my dream watch for our one year of dating anniversary. It is my favorite thing, but I wore it so much that the crystal casing is scratched beyond belief and it is hard to see the time. I discovered that Fossil will repair it! As soon as I get around to it I am sending it off for a new battery and casing and then I will have all sorts of things to wear on my wrists!
SIX
Ace of Base made the bestest, grooviest vid ever.
SEVEN
My favorite The Far Side cartoon ever.

Congrats on the nomination! I like learning about new blogs myself. I don't normally like holding babies that aren't mine either. Is that strange? I am also one of those moms who isn't so free to hand over her baby to someone to hold. Maybe they go hand in hand, I have no idea.
ReplyDeleteI love the rosary bracelet! I bought one at the Vatican and have NEVER worn it. For shame! Do you do it all at once or throughout the day? I'm thinking maybe I could wear it and do a prayer here or there during the work day.
ReplyDeleteWhen I wore mine, I would pretty much try to get through a decade at a time. A priest friend of mine told me a story once about praying while walking, etc. and I tried to keep that in mind throughout the day, and the bracelet was a great reminder!
DeleteI am excited to get it fixed. :)
I read a few stories about Amish women. They seemed to pray as easily as they breathe. I thought at the time about why it is such a difficult thing for Catholic women to pray spontaneously. I decided to write books for teens where the characters have no problem breaking out in prayer.
ReplyDeleteI published a series of ebooks called the Saginaw Series. I have been pleased with how many adults love the shirt books. I have a blog about my books with links to reviews.
