Today, you get a few outfits from me, and maybe a mini rant! We shall see how the post progresses.
January 1 was not only The Feast of Mary, Mother of God, but it was my anniversary (my husband's too, funny enough!) so we all went to Mass and then celebrated at a Japanese steakhouse. It was delicious, fun and exhausting. My energy is already draining today, so I am going to try to get this post up before we head out the door. So, it is a bonus post:
What I Wore on January 1st:
The Breakdown:
Sleeveless shirt: NY&Co
Cardigan: NY&Co
Pants (that button and zip and everything!): NY&Co
Socks: NY&Co
Shoes: (since I don't like the shoes NY&Co usually sells...) Target
A truer reflection of what my normal (AKA not pregnant ) wardrobe consists of has never been photographed. I am an NY&Co junkie.
Now for today:
I know what you are thinking. Isn't this a repeat? Well, no. My socks are a different argyle and it is a purple cami underneath. Which leads me to my rant. (Lucky you!)
1. I only have so many clothes.
2. Apparently 23 weeks is my threshold when it comes to caring. A day over 23 and I feel sludgy and tired and like I do not want to do my hair anymore.
3. My desire to style my hair also diminished due to a wonderful dream I had last weekend about blow drying my hair and IT NEVER DRIED! It was a long and exhausting dream.
4. Over the years, I have perfected the half-dry blow dry. I dry the top layer so that my bangs are not the only pieces that are dry and then throw it in a pony tail.
5. I had a horrific reoccurring dream when I was in college. It involved going bald, and each dream the baldness was progressively worse. Like, sores and boils worse. Ironically, my fears of going bald have been thwarted by the fact that I AM ACTUALLY STILL GROWING HAIR. I have twice as much hair as a normal person, and I have new growth. In a few years that forehead will be nonexistent.
In conclusion, I stopped styling my hair this week.
Just for fun, here are three other random facts before I wrap this up to get my prayer on.
1. I now sneeze every time I put on perfume.
2. I have been totally bummed that my most popular posts are mostly a result of this link up and people searching for "Amanda Todd boobs."
3. I still want some Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos from Bonefish Grill. It is a horribly strong craving.
Go check out more Mass fashion! I am going to get myself to Mass and hope that makes me feel better!

Argyle - love it! Hang in there on the 23-week blahs. Pregnancy is a roller coaster of emotions.
ReplyDeleteI miss Bonefish. I live in a veritable culinary wasteland right now... even the chains are terrible. And that blowdrying dream sounds, oh my goodness, just straight-up horrendous. Oy.
ReplyDeleteMy husband was kind and attentive enough to notice my craving (The may or may not have had something to do with me even changed my FB photo to shrimp tacos.) so I finally satisfied that craving. Worth it. Now I better not hear the word "shrimp" for a long time for fear the craving will return!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, those shrimp tacos looks amazing. I craved shrimp tempura sushi all the time with my second pregnancy. Mmm. Shrimp. Hahaha. I'm sorry you are not feeling well. I know how you feel... I am definitely NOT one of those women who have lovely pregnancies. It'll be over soon enough and you'll have a beautiful baby! I'm sending virtual hugs your way. Also, I didn't even notice that you had a "repeat"... repeats are no big deal. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe tacos were fabulous. Perfecto. I normally do not like spicy foods, but when I am pregnant it cannot be spicy enough, and these were just outstanding. I don't think I have ever gone there and not ordered them! They perked up a down day for sure!
DeleteI liked the profile picture of you so much that I kidnapped it for my digital frame. you look beautiful and glowing, and that smile was mega-watt. And you know me, I share your love of NY & Co. I am even waiting for a shipment to arrive right now. I couldn't wait for a trip to KC or Tampa to get my fix.
ReplyDeleteOne of the highlights post-pregnancy is finding an outfit at NY&Co. P.S. I was laughing at the girl's silliness in the profile photo. She is as big of a crack up as her brother is!
DeleteI look forward to seeing the glowing faces of all the beautiful pregnant ladies for WIWS. Don't fret. Most of us have either been there, or one day will. : )
ReplyDeleteI love it too! Eh, this was just a weird day. Over all, pregnancy is not so bad... it is quite nice actually. I was just overdue for an "ugh" day!
DeleteI love the grey and yellow combo! In fact, I just bought a bed spread with those colors and am trying to convince my husband that we should paint the bedroom yellow with a grey accent wall.
ReplyDeleteThose tacos look delish! No wonder the craving was so strong!!!
Cute with the yellow & grey and you look great for 23 weeks. I LOVE NY&CO too. I can't wait until I can fit into my cute things again.
ReplyDeleteSHRIMP!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the shrimp from Bonefish AND NY&Co! That is a great Argyle cardi. Hang in there! Most people are pretty limited in clothing the further along in pregnancy they get, but soon you'll be holding a precious babe and can start to kiss maternity garb goodbye. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have so many fun shoes though even though you feel like you are running out of different clothes. I'm about to run out of different outfits myself. Hang in there with the pregnancy blues, hopefully there is a good turn to come soon.
ReplyDeleteI stop caring about my hair when pregnant too, that is why after baby number 4 I chopped it all off and I mean ALL OFF and I love it!
ReplyDeleteJess - no worries about having a limited wardrobe...most of us do! I fully expect to see plenty of repeats in the linkup :-)
ReplyDeleteCrazy dream, haha. Also, I can't say I've ever craved shrimp tacos before! As much as I barely tolerate seafood and spiciness, those look strangely delicious :-P
